After completing her Mountaineer basketball career, Wells went on to play for the Harlem Globetrotters. Once she finished her short time with the Globetrotters, she went on to further her basketball career by playing and coaching in Japan from 1986-1992. Wells proceeded to advance her skills by coaching and playing in Spain, Italy, and France from 1992-2003. In 2003 she finished pursuing her degree at Huntington University, graduating with a degree in elementary and physical education. Most recently, she became a member of the WVU Mountaineer Legends Society in 2017.
