How it all Began

After being born in Fairmont, WV and discovering her passion for gymnastics at a young age, Retton competed in Reno, Nevada. It was there that her life changed forever, Bela Karolyi offered to train her for the olympics. He was a world-renowned Romanian trainer, and she accepted the offer at just 14 years old. After accepting his offer, she moved to Houston, TX to train for the Olympics.
